Beverley & Tom enjoyed a beautiful summer day for their wedding at St Nicholas Church in Canewdon, Essex. Their special day was the relaxed, informal occasion that they’d hoped for, complete with a visit from a Rossi’s ice-cream van! Beverley & her guests tucked into ’99s’, perfect to cool everyone down in the sunshine! Their reception was one of the first to be held in the lovely new orangery at The Lawn in Rochford, & the hand-made gingerbread figures made perfect place settings!
Chris and Charlotte had a wonderful marriage ceremony at Thundersley Congregational Church and were then whisked off to Crondon Park, Stock in Essex.
We have seen Chris and Charlotte at our Studio three times since their wedding as they are finding it difficult to finalise their choices for their wedding album! We are more than happy to assist them with their decision making as they are great people and we always want our couples to be completely satisfied with their choices. Their album will be something to treasure for the rest of their lives.
Alison & James’ wedding was a perfect day full of emotion ~ laughter and tears a-plenty!
Married at Avenue Baptist Church in Westcliff on Sea, their reception was held in the grounds of James’ parents home in Hook End, Essex. Their guests enjoyed high tea in a beautiful marquee laden with china tea-cups and cake stands bursting with goodies! A hog-roast followed in the evening while the guests danced the night away.
Having known Alison since she was a little girl, being able to photograph her wedding day was truly extra special for photographer Sally Claydon.
Cheryl & Trevor got married on a lovely sunny day at St Peter & Paul’s in Hockley, with Father Jeffrey making everyone feel at home in his beautiful church on the hill, dating back to 1220 A.D. After the ceremony we carried on to the reception at Stockbrook Golf & Country Club, where it was lovely to work with Charlotte once again. We did however find time to stop off on the journey to take a few photographs in a rape field - with me standing on the roof of my car to get the shots, which created more than a little interest from the passing traffic!
We received a lovely email today from our dear friend Patrick Gormally who attended the launch party of Sweet Sixteen Photography. Patrick is a faithful follower of Studio Rochford on Facebook and always encourages us with his kind words!
“I was delighted to have recently visited your ultra modern and beautiful studio in Rochford, having often visited your facebook contribution in the past, especially rewarding to meet the experts, who direct and manage the establishment, wonderful directors and staff, really focused on the business, of all aspects of photography, lighting, exposure, the expertise is truly amazing. In conclusion, I am impressed by the architecture of your premises, hopefully to be preserved forever.Once again, many thanks for Studio Rochford, your hospitality, and above all, educating me on the finer details of successful photography. Best Regards, from Patrick Gormally, Country Antrim, Northern Ireland.”
Penny & Dave win the record for the most number of bridesmaids this year with a magnificent TEN!!! All the lovely young ladies helped Penny & Dave enjoy their special day at Vaulty Manor. Here is our beautiful Alix who helped us out by being photographed for our Sweet Sixteen Photography portfolio. None of our youngsters are professional models, but they could be!! They all did a fantastic job ~ and enjoyed every minute of it too! So, teenagers everywhere, dig out your posh frock, grab your friends and phone Studio Rochford to book your Sweet Sixteen Photoshoot!
. . . We have lift-off!! . . . Operation Sweet Sixteen has been a massive undertaking over the past month or so. We finally had everything in place for the launch party yesterday, even if we did have only one second to spare (literally, we were still doing the finishing touches to our make-up when our guests started to arrive!).The launch prompted us to completely decorate the shop (inside and out!) in time for us to unveil the photo’s and products to our guests and models. All of us here were stacked up against it, the huge to do list and the very short space of time in which to finish it all was manic, (to say the least), but, true to form we managed it.
The party was a huge success and everyone had a lovely time. It seems there’s lots of interest out there for Sweet Sixteen Photography, and all of us here at Studio Rochford are very enthusiastic and exhilarated about its future!
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all our photoshoot suppliers ~ based here in Rochford. Ellis Hairdressing, Rio, Purple Rose and The Lawn have all been amazingly supportive and we couldn’t have done it without their help…. And of course our sincerest thanks to our beautiful and handsome models, they were brilliant!
We have designed a totally new exciting product. The first of its kind in the UK, (that we know of) which, offers to capture the celebration of this chapter in your life.
We are offering a photo-shoot with a difference!

We haven’t had much time to update the blog lately as we are busy working away on a fantastic new product to be launched later this month! We are SO excited about our new project and can’t wait to go public on it!! But for now…there’s more to be organised…so we’ll report back as soon as we can!!! Meanwhile, here’s a photo of a lovely local venue called The Lawn.
What bride wouldn’t grab the opportunity to wear their dress twice?! That’s exactly what Rosie did for her wedding celebrations. Rosie married Robin at Porters, Southend followed by a reception for close family and friends at the Balmoral Hotel, Westcliff. Several days later the couple donned their wedding outfits again for a service of blessing at Rochford Methodist Church, followed by a reception at The Freight House, Rochford.
