Cheryl & Trevor got married on a lovely sunny day at St Peter & Paul’s in Hockley, with Father Jeffrey making everyone feel at home in his beautiful church on the hill, dating back to 1220 A.D. After the ceremony we carried on to the reception at Stockbrook Golf & Country Club, where it was lovely to work with Charlotte once again. We did however find time to stop off on the journey to take a few photographs in a rape field - with me standing  on the roof of my car to get the shots, which created more than a little interest from the passing traffic!

Sally & I are spending the week at Roaches Hall in Buxton with PRGH Phototraining. Paul RG Haley is a Fellow of the Master Photographers Association and one of only three civilian photographers to land on the Falklands Islands and cover the conflict in 1982. Paul specialises in one on one training, but luckily for us has organised a week long course, supported by colleagues with technical expertise in areas from studio lighting to SEO to post production techniques. We have been here for just over 24 hours and already have brain-ache!!

Here are a few shots from the first session with our lovely model Charlie. We are proofing on the laptop - so hopefully they look OK - butI have a feeling we might look at them again once we get on to our callibrated monitors!!

Jo  spent the day at Focus on Imaging and has returned very excited!  New products are coming to market in the next few weeks from some of our favourite suppliers - watch out for pearlescent paper!

Our second outing of the year will be to the annual wedding fair at one of our favourite venues, The Lawn, Rochford, where we are one of their recommended wedding photographers.

As always it promises to be a great day and we are just hoping that the thaw continues, otherwise our feet are likely to freeze in the marquee!

Katie & Chris were married at  Layer Marney Tower on 18th September, a beautiful early autumn day. Chris had advised me in advance that it would be very emotional and to have the kleenex to hand - for him

I wasn’t disappointed - lots of laughter - lots of happy tears - plenty to photograph! We’ve spent this morning with Katie & Chris viewing their proofs and making selections for their album - and they nearly had us going too!

Alison & James were married  at Maidens Barn, High Easter, Chelmsford

The sun peeped through the clouds at just the right time for this stunning shot of Tina & Russell on their wedding day.  The newly refurbished Orsett Hall was the location for their celebrations, with the grounds providing a lovely backdrop for group photos.  Tina & Russell’s little bridesmaid was a gem, smiling beautifully the whole day…there wasn’t a bad photo of her!

Andrejka & Michael chose the bride’s childhood home for their intimate ceremony & celebrations.  The garden provided a beautiful location for romantic photos of the bride and groom.
