Amanda & Ian’s Wedding Photography at The Church of Our Saviour, Chelmsford & Milsom’s, Dedham

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

Amanda & Ian were keen to have very informal photos at their wedding, held at the Church of Our Saviour, Chelmsford followed by afternoon tea at Milsom’s in Dedham.  Jo Tennant LMPA had the privilege of helping Amanda choose her wedding dress, a testament to the close relationship we often develop with our clients.  Jo relished the chance to abandon the usual list of groups and get stuck in to photographing the guests in a relaxed, unobtrusive way, as well as all the beautiful details.  How she kept her hands off the gorgeous strawberry scones and abundance of traditional sweets we will never know!

Saturday, March 21st, 2009

Cara & David’s quintessentially English wedding was held at St Peter’s Church, Paglesham followed by a reception held in a marquee locally.  The family had planted ‘a host of golden daffodils’ to ensure a glorious display for the big day!  Tiny bridesmaids in white dresses playing and swinging in the trees added to the wonderful scene!

Updating a blog

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

I’ve realised that updating a blog is a bit like keeping a diary - something that I’ve never been good at. I start with great intentions then get caught up in real life and suddenly it’s months since the last entry. So - my early New Year’s resolution is to try to keep this as updated as possible with whatever we are doing at the time, be that weddings or chatting about the best face cream for pre-40 wrinkles. Let’s see if I managed to break it before 2009 even sets in!!

Essex Wedding Photographer Jo Tennant LMPA wins Award of Excellence for her Wedding Photography

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Award of Excellence at the MPA/BIPP Essex & Greater London Print CompetitionEntering a print competition is always nerve wracking, I’ve just entered my second one and pleased to say didn’t come away empty handed. The question is whether I’m brave enough to enter the British Professional Photography Awards in a few weeks time - we’ll see.

My award came form a print of Emma & Mark’s wedding shot at Leez Priory at the end of May. Thanks to them for making it such a lovely job!
