Cheryl & Trevor’s Wedding at St Peter & Paul’s, Hockley & Stockbrook Manor

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Cheryl & Trevor got married on a lovely sunny day at St Peter & Paul’s in Hockley, with Father Jeffrey making everyone feel at home in his beautiful church on the hill, dating back to 1220 A.D. After the ceremony we carried on to the reception at Stockbrook Golf & Country Club, where it was lovely to work with Charlotte once again. We did however find time to stop off on the journey to take a few photographs in a rape field - with me standing  on the roof of my car to get the shots, which created more than a little interest from the passing traffic!

Some to enjoy…

JEN & MAT’S WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT ST. MICHAEL’s GALLEYWOOD & STOCKBROOK MANOR

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

Jen & Mat were married on 12th September, on another lovely autumn day. Unfortunately for us autumn sun makes for difficult light - but you can give me that over rain any day! The service was held at St Michael’s Church in Galleywood Chelmsford, where Father Andy made us so welcome - giving us a guided tour of the best vantage points - including the pulpit and suggesting how I might manage to gain ground on the two very imposing videographers I was working along side! Denise picked the best spot at the back of the church so as not to be elbowed - I wasn’t quite so lucky!

After the service Jen & Mat treated their guests to fresh Devon pasties in the church yard - no-one needed to  be asked twice, so we were very lucky that two were saved for us - thank you!

It’s always interesting to see how couples personalise their weddings and in Jen & Mat’s case, whose reception was at Stockbrook Manor, it was their wedding cake that stood out for us. Several friends had made dozens of cup cakes independently of each other, all in different cases, all with different toppings. The cake stand was a riot of colour - completely mismatched - and absolutely fantastic - who needs Choccywoccydoodah?

Here’s a couple of favourites - with more here on our facebook page.
