Alison & James’ English Country Wedding

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Alison & James’ wedding was a perfect day full of emotion ~ laughter and tears a-plenty!

Married at Avenue Baptist Church in Westcliff on Sea, their reception was held in the grounds of James’ parents home in Hook End, Essex.  Their guests enjoyed high tea in a beautiful marquee laden with china tea-cups and cake stands bursting with goodies!  A hog-roast followed in the evening while the guests danced the night away.

Having known Alison since she was a little girl, being able to photograph her wedding day was truly extra special for photographer Sally Claydon.

Sam & Adam’s Wedding Photography at St Margaret’s Church, Downham, Essex

Friday, August 1st, 2008

My wedding last weekend was on the windiest day of the summer so far and Sam and Adam chose St Margaret’s in Downham for their service - a church which sits atop of one of the very few hills in Essex. Years ago I saw a photographer use clothes pegs to weight a veil - might be an idea to have a couple in the bag…….

My favourite shot of the day - just for novelty value is of the Vicar actually doing my job, rather than trying to stop me!
