The grounds of Blake Hall in Ongar provide the setting for one of Essex’s most beautiful barn and outdoor wedding venue’s.

Both the converted 17th century barn and the open converted saddlery are licensed for wedding ceremonies giving options for all seasons and all weathers. An exclusive use venue, Blake Hall is ridiculously easy to get to, situated just a few miles away from the M11 and onwards to the M25.

The lawn and terrace outside the barn provide the perfect setting for drinks and canapes. Family groups can be photographed easily on the lawn without disturbing the flow of the drinks reception. The stunning formal gardens which are beautifully seasonally planted, are just a short walk away. They are the perfect backdrop for photographs with just the Bride & Groom.

The Barn creates a fantastic intimate setting for the wedding breakfast and dancing. Filled with fairy lights it glows as darkness descends. It has an incredible cosy feeling, despite being able to seat 150 guests for dinner.

There are various accommodation options. The Coach House is the perfect space for the Bride and Bridesmaids to get ready and Stable Cottage the most impossibly romantic place to spend your first night.

And last but by no means least, the food is lovely. Really lovely – I have eaten it and was highly impressed!
