Essex wedding venue Gosfield Hall is a fabulous former Royal Tudor mansion house dating back to 1545.
Along with Leez Priory it forms part of the Country House Weddings stable. Set in acres of grounds in the heart of Essex, Gosfield Hall is a stunning, award winning venue that is perfect for both summer and winter weddings with exclusive use guaranteed.
The Queens Gallery with its 120 foot aisle ensures that the bride’s entrance is one that will never be forgotten and the newly licensed carriage way allows for an outdoor ceremony in the summer. The Grand Salon which is a beautiful light and airy room is also licensed for your ceremony and makes and easily accessible alternative to the Queens Gallery, being on the ground floor level of Gosfield Hall.
The Rococco Bridal Suite is the perfect room to get ready in, with plenty of space and lovely light, ideal for your hairdresser make-up artist and photographer to work in!
Gosfield Hall is set in acres of lawn with with views across to Gosfield Lake. St Catherine’s Church can be reached by either a short walk through the corn field in the summer, or possibly even more romantically, by horse and carriage, which then returns you to the beautiful inner courtyard and Gosfield Hall’s famous blue door! Your drinks reception will hopefully see your guests enjoying the beautiful grounds in the summer and the giant garden games available, or the cosy atmosphere of the wood panelled library in the winter, where log fires warm the room.
Your wedding breakfast will be held in the Marquis of Buckingham’s former ballroom which seems to extend forever due to the careful placement of floor to ceiling mirrors at either end of the room. With it’s ornate ceilings, stunning wood panelling and fabulous chandeliers, the ballroom is a fantastic foil for any colour scheme or wedding theme.
